Daniel Aguirre (guitarra), Cristian Rozas (bajo), Iggy Azocar (voz), Francisco Cerda (teclado) y Gregg Said (batería), deciden reunirse luego de incursionar en distintos proyectos, con la clara intención formar una banda influenciada por el hard rock y el metal progresivo.
En el año 2003, el guitarrista Daniel Aguirre comienza con la inquietud de formar una banda orientada al rock progresivo, es así como el 2004 conoce al baterista Gregory Said, con quien comienza a trabajar en algunas composiciones. Después de algunos cambios en la alineación, y de una pausa de un año, se suma el bajista Cristian Rozas (Dracma, Human Factor). Daniel y Cristian habían tocado juntos desde los 14 años, inspirados por la música de Rush, Yes y Metallica, lo cual favoreció desde un principio el proceso de composición y el afianzamiento de la identidad de la banda.
Mientras tanto, Ignacio Azocar vuelve de USA luego de participar como cantante en diversas agrupaciones con la intención de hacer buen rock en Chile, es así como conoce a Daniel en un concierto… El resto es historia.
El tecladista Francisco Cerda siempre estuvo ligado a la banda, sin embargo, por una serie de compromisos y diversos proyectos en los que se encontraba involucrado, no se une a ella de manera estable hasta finales del 2009, con lo cual Versus completa su actual formación.
Hoy en día, Versus se encuentra promocionando su disco debut Spiral Waves y agendando presentaciones en vivo. Daniel Aguirre (guitar), Cristian Rozas (bass), Iggy Azocar (Vocals), Francisco Cerda (keyboards) y Gregorhy Said (drums), decide to get together after working in different projects, with the intention to form a band influenced by hard rock and progressive metal. In 2003, Daniel Aguirre, the guitar player, begins to feel the need to form a band aiming to progressive rock. During 2004 he meets Gregorhy, the drummer, with whom he began working on a few songs. After some lineup changes, and taking a break for nearly a year, the bass player, Cristian Rozas (Dracma, Human Factor) joins the band. Daniel and Cristian had played together since age 14, inspired by Rush, Yes and Metallica, which helped them out with the composition process and to reinforce the identity of the agrupation. Meanwhile, Ignacio Azocar returns from U.S.A. after participating in several bands with the clear intention to make good rock in Chile. Daniel meets Iggy in a concert, they exchange numbers and the rest is history. It wasn’t until the end of 2009 when keyboard player, Francisco Cerda, became a member of Versus. Even though he had always stood close by, due to a series of commitments and projects he wasnít able to become an active member. This is when Versus was completed by itsí current members. Nowadays, versus is promoting itsí album Spiral Waves! and scheduling live presentations.
